Business Litigation
Kelley • Semmel LLP has long and extensive experience in a broad array of business litigation matters, with particular expertise in real estate litigation.
Real Estate and Leasing Litigation
Our practice includes a wide range of real estate disputes from breaches of lease, unlawful detainer, tenant improvement issues, acquisitions, dispositions, brokerage agreements, easements and other neighbor disputes.
Construction Claims and Litigation
We represent developers, contractors, owners and design professionals in a broad variety of construction related claims, including contract performance, delays, disruptions, defects, and mechanics liens.
Breach of Contract and Fraud
Our practice includes all manner of business relationship disputes, from breach of contract, fraud, partnership and disputes among owners of closely held corporations, to disputes under the Uniform Commercial Code.
Trade Secret & Unfair Competition Litigation
We represent both the holders of trade secrets and confidential information as well as departing employees or owners wishing to start a new business. Where necessary to protect the wrongful use of trade secret information or other unfair competition, we swiftly seek a temporary restraining order and/or preliminary injunction. We draft, advise and assist clients with respect to their rights and obligations under Confidentiality, Employment and Partnership Agreements.
Insurance Coverage and Risk Management
We seek to maximize the benefits to our clients of their insurance coverage, as well as the coverage carried by other parties. Our litigators regularly analyze and litigate complex insurance coverage issues, with a particular focus on defense and coverage obligations.
In all matters, we provide large firm quality and experience, and with small firm hands-on attention and cost-effectiveness.
